The play starts with main character Riri getting injured and being saved by Yuyu. Yuyu gives Riri her ribbon as a sign of “This item is like me. Take it with you and it would feel like we are together.” and Riri moves into safety.

Move forward to 2 years later, Riri enrolls into the Garden (what schools are) Yuri Girl’s school as a 1st year HS. She went there to fight alongside her now idol, Yuyu.

In the entrance, she sees Fumi greet and fangirl like an otaku towards Shenlin and Yujia as to they are popular/well-known Lilies.

A lily is that girl who has trained in a Lily Garden to fight the enemies called Huge. A lily posses a charm link (I think), which is a Lily filling up a weapon with Magi to power it up and use it in battle. They also have stuff like “Rare Skills” which are like super special moves that boosts fellow lilies, or deals heavy damage on Huges. Most lilies are popular for their rare skills. It is possible for lilies to awaken to the same rare skills.

…continuing. After the roommates Shenlin and Yujia (who has an older and younger sister that are very good and well known lilies, the source of her inferiority complex) leaves, Kaede arrives.

Riri immediately grabs her hand and introduces herself, and this tickles all of Kaede’s switches as she accepts her introduction in return of her own… and later on hugs Riri… only to massage/carress/make love to her butt.

Fumi apologizes for not noticing Riri and introduces herself as well and they become friends. Riri approaches an emo af Tazusa who just ignores her. Miliam arrives and calls Kaede by her whole name an rare skill (Resistance iirc), and Kaede wonders if she’s met her before. Miliam says Kaede is her rival, which Kaede denies as to she knows nothing of having a rival and leaves.

Later, during training, we are introduced to Mai, the very energetic and boyish senpai, and Yuyu, the girl who saved Riri.

Riri talks about two years ago, but Yuyu snaps and gets angry at her, making Mai drop the topic to move into training. Riri does not know how to utilize her charm and was scolded, whereas Miliam suggests a mock battle initiating a fight between her and Kaede, and Kaede promising to her life that she will protect Riri (and her important parts.)

The mock battle was canceled as to there was a sudden Huge attack. The Huge comes in different sizes (I know, don’t ask) small, medium, large and gigante.

They work together and defeat the small huge that attacked and training was adjourned. Riri approaches Yuyu and proclaims (her undying love jk) her want to connect herself to Yuyu as Yuyu’s Silt, and Yuyu being her Schuzenengel (? I dont remember. Somethingangel that sounds german), let’s just say Oneesama. Yuyu refuses and emo-ishly says “You don’t wanna be with me you will regret it.” and leaves.

The next day, resident otaku, ship captain, derp, nerd, Fumi spreads the “Daily Yuri Newspaper” with Riri’s confession on the front page. Kaede sees this and tearfully admits defeat, and says if it makes Riri happy, she will cheer her on and help her. Hugs Riri and… touches her butt with a squeeze. She also encourages Riri to not give up. Later, Mai appears and tells Riri she saw the paper.

She says that the current Riri, Yuyu may not accept, so she should create a Legion. A legion is a group of 9 lilies, formed like an army, to take on the huge as a group. Mai promises to join if Riri makes one, which she does.

Mai tells Yuyu about the legion, which Yuyu responds with she will only join if Riri manages to get 8 members to complete the 9 (with Yuyu as 9th.)

Riri says she wants the 8th member to be Tazusa, where we discover that she was a genetically modified immortal, created to fight Huge alone. They save her as she set out to fight a huge wave, Tazusa accepts the offer to be part of the Legion, and with the 8 of them, as promised, Yuyu joins.

There is then a huge attack by the Huge (haha get me), and reinforcements from other schools are called.

All the other students split up to take the enemies until a Gigante spawns and now the Legion from Yuri Garden has to do a special move I forgot the name of by passing their magi through each other’s weapons and firing it at full force to defeat it.

However, when all the lilies meet with Riri and the gang, the new student from a diff school named Kotohi started attacking Yuyu. Saying that she became a lily to take revenge on her. For killing her friend and letting that friend to die, two years ago.

Here, we discover that Yuyu’s rare skill (same with Brigita and the siblings), Lunatic Trance, is when they go berserk until they run out of magi, and return to normal with almost no memories of what happened.

It seems that two years ago, after saving Riri, Yuyu used her rare skill, lost control and killed her shuzenengel, Misuzu Oneesama, as well as Kotohi’s friend, on its onset, however Yuyu does not remember this.

This became a problem passing magi, as to passing the magi requires each person passed to, to do their rare skill. Riri manages to snap Yuyu out of her trance with a hug and a promise of words, that she will never leave her side, it was revealed that Riri’s rare skill is likely restores magi and helps Yuyu control her rare skill.

Anyway, they blast the powerful skill, but the gigante does not fall, and oddly, flees. Mai asks Riri if she was shocked of Yuyu’s lunatic trance and she says yes she was but more so she wanted to help her. Mai explains that Yuyu used to be able go control it better until her previous partner died that caused her to seal it and never use it again.

Kotohi gets injured and Aoi enters. They reconvene, and nerd otaku Fumi discovers that the Huge may have a magi reflector. They’ve decided that doing two special attacks with 18 members could do the trick because there’s a cool down for the reflector.

Kotohi, injured and not part of the battle suddenly contacts an unknown group about her discovery, data, and current plan how to defeat the gigante.

Before the next battle begins, Riri approaches Yuyu. Yuyu asks her if she’s disappointed in her now. Riri disagrees and sits beside her. She gives her her four leaf clover hairpin, and tells her that “This item is like me. Take it with you and it would feel like we are together.” and leaves as they prepare. Kanaho approaches Sachie, and tells her that Kotohi is weird, and that she thinks there is more to her than she lets on.

They all do the double special move with 18 members, with Riri calming down Yuyu’s Lunatic Trance and ending the gigante once and for all. Riri got help from other lunatic trancers (The Funada sisters and Bridgita) that it’s normal to receive help. While doing their rare skills as well, they all thank this collaboration and Riri for bringing each of them together in this Legion.

After the battle, Yuyu returns the hairclip onto Riri that makes her sad before saying that… she does not need it anymore, for they’ll be together from now on. Yuyu parts from her nightmares of Misuzu Oneesama, that she will now pass on what she has learned from her onto Riri, her now Silt/Imouto, and they hug.

Fumi rushes in taking photos of the accomplished pact as they split from the hug. Saying that this will be good paper material for tomorrow. Kaede congratulates Riri for her success and proceeds to show her happiness for her butt… which Yuyu eyes annoyingly, and Riri takes her hand and stops her from doing it.

Their adventure starts here.

The end.

Character impressions:

– Riri – generic main character. She’s literally a Madoka.

– Yuyu – generic strict senpai but a bit kind. Often misunderstood, but is really gentle.

– Kaede – classic desu wa ojousama disaster lesbian

– Fumi – that nerd bestfriend

– Tasuza – the silent genius (at fighting)

– Mai – the matchmaker senpai who knows how to control(bribe) and lead all the students.

– Miliam – the annoying girl who wants a rival and all brawns with no brains

– Shenlin – the encouraging partner

– Yujia – the zero confidence partner

– Kanaho – literally nogenora imouto

– Kazuha – Kanaho’s slave

– Kotohi – freshman with a grudge and a hidden agenda

– Sachie – kind senpai with a deathflag

– Bridgita – kind senpai with a deathflag 2

– Kiito – the haughty and whipped imouto

– Ui – the gentle beauty Oneesama

– Yuzuriha – the genius fighter with headphones

– Momiji – student council president yamato nadeshiko

Impressions:

– I was warned that it was cliche, it was cliche but it was obviously made that way because it was a beginning story. The yuri and marimite elements are also quite blatant and likable.

– The handholding, faceholding, hugs, eyecontact and other touches aren’t all subtle, and you can easily tell which character is into which character, it was good portrayal all and all.

– The characters made sure to show all their individual personalities, and the cast were able to show chemistry and work together.

– Yuyu’s actress, Natsuyoshi Yuuko has a really nice deep voice.

– Akao Hikaru is so small 🤣🤣🤣

– Haruchan, Tsumu, Tonopii, Rimi, Tanoue Marina, Mike-chan, are all actresses I know and they did not disappoint, given that this was my first time seeing Mike-chan in a butai setting and she was just amazing.

– The fight scenes weren’t too complicated as to the stage was a bit small.

– The enemies have no definite form, we’ll see that in the anime, I suppose.

– All in all, it was better than the yagakimi stage play. I won’t watch it again, but I would, maybe, want the pamphlets and translate profiles and character information… (or if someone will provide me screenshots/photos to do so.)

– Maybe do the manga too.

That’s it! Thanks for reading~
